"CITY EXPRESS - Your Reliable Delivery Partner"
By booking a shipment with City Express Courier and Cargo, the consignor (sender) agrees to the following terms and conditions. These rules are designed to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with international and domestic logistics regulations.
Cargo charges are based on actual weight or volumetric weight, whichever is higher.
Volumetric weight is calculated as:
(Length × Width × Height in cm) ÷ 5000
Any misdeclaration may result in delays, additional charges, or refusal of shipment.
All shipments must be accompanied by proper documentation:
Commercial Invoice for business goods.
Packing List if multiple items are packed.
KYC Documents (e.g., Aadhaar, PAN, Passport) for international and high-value consignments.
Any permits or licenses required for restricted goods.
Failure to provide necessary documents may result in the shipment being held or rejected.
The sender is responsible for secure and appropriate packing of goods.
Fragile items must be clearly marked and packed with sufficient cushioning.
Improper packing may lead to damage, for which City Express is not liable.
Dangerous or hazardous materials (flammable, explosive, corrosive, radioactive, etc.) are not accepted unless declared and approved in advance under IATA guidelines.
Shipping of such goods without disclosure is illegal and may attract legal penalties.
Examples of prohibited dangerous goods include:
Fireworks, lighter fluid, gasoline
Industrial chemicals
Paints and aerosols
The following items are strictly prohibited from air transport:
Narcotics and illegal drugs
Firearms, ammunition, weapons
Counterfeit currency and goods

City Express reserves the right to open and inspect any parcel if deemed necessary by customs or airline authorities.
Shipments suspected of containing banned or dangerous items may be held, confiscated, or reported to the authorities.
All international shipments are subject to customs clearance.
City Express will facilitate clearance but is not responsible for delays caused by customs procedures, duties, or taxes levied by destination countries.
Any duties, taxes, or fines are the consignee’s responsibility.
City Express shall not be liable for:
Delays due to weather, natural calamities, or airline issues.
Damage due to improper packaging.
Loss or damage of prohibited, undeclared, or improperly documented items.
City Express reserves the right to refuse pickup or transportation of any item that:
Appears improperly packed or labeled
Is deemed unsafe for transport
Lacks appropriate documentation
The contents are accurately declared.
The shipment complies with all legal and transport regulations.
The packaging is secure, and documents are complete.
To ensure smooth handling and compliance with carrier and transport authority guidelines, the following rules apply for cargo weight limits via air and train services.
A maximum individual parcel weight limit of 70 kg applies to all air cargo shipments.
Any single package weighing more than 70 kg will not be accepted for air transport.
In such cases, customers are advised to:
Split the cargo into smaller parcels (each under 70 kg), or
Use surface or train transport services if suitable.
Additional safety handling and repackaging may be required for heavier items, which may attract extra charges.
For cargo weighing above 100 kg (per shipment) sent via train transport, manual or equipment loading/unloading charges may be applicable.
These charges vary based on:
Total weight
Dimensions
Loading facility access at origin and destination
City Express will notify the customer in advance of any applicable loading fees.
Customers are encouraged to inform City Express of heavy items in advance for proper planning and cost estimation.
Shipments above 100 kg must be securely packed and clearly labeled with weight indicators.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate weight details at the time of booking.
Incorrect declaration of weight may result in:
Delay in dispatch
Rejection of shipment
Additional charges or penalties
City Express is not responsible for damage caused due to misdeclaration of weight or improper packing of heavy goods.
Any shipment exceeding weight limits for the selected transport mode may be rerouted or returned at the customer’s expense.
